CHAIR WEATHERING UK STORMS, LITERALLY
Hola Makati! This is week 7 and we are working on website journalism all week.
We are being taught how to build a website, put words, pictures, audio and video on it and all that jazz.
So G must be worried because I might take his job away very soon. Otherwise all is cool despite the buckets of rain that has been threatening to drown my balck sorry asssss.
The weekend was great and we had lots of fun. On Saturday, our three Mexican colleagues cooked lunch for everyone.
It was a real South American food festival and we ate till we dropped. I particularly liked their hot chicken stew.
The sumptuous lunch gave us a good excuse to start imbibing and we did that with aplomb until the wee hours of the morning.
Sunday was a heavy morning and we all woke up well after midday to get ready to go out.
There was a big festival in the city of Cardiff with all the rides and live music. I particularly enjoyed the performance by Richie Havens. The man does not succumb to ageing and his display was electric.
With the thoughts of a new week ahead of us, we made it a point that we retired early.
I will be going to meet up with Muzi in London over the weekend as I could not see him the last time I was there.
For those who missed the news, Muzi was in Jamaica getting spoilt for his birthday. Lucky man!
While in London, I will also catch up with the club's big friend Ntombi from MTN. She has been here for a while but I have not been able to see her.
She is currently in France having fun with her sister. Eish, uphi usbali kanti? And then the whole of next week is what they call Placement Wek. All of us in the programme will be working all week with different media houses.
Unfortunately, I have been placed with Western Mail in Cardiff. Some of my colleagues will be spread around the UK. Some will go as far as Scotland and Manchester. But on the brighter side, Cardiff I am now used to Cardiff and don't need to start looking for new pubs in other cities. LOL
I will then give you another update at the end of next week after I have done my placements.
PEACE...
